1. Scope and operator

This policy explains how Hunger Games Simulator handles information when you use hungergamessimulator.net. You can use the core simulator without creating an account or providing an email address.

2. Information stored on your device

The simulator uses browser storage, including localStorage and IndexedDB, for core functions. Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • tribute names, portraits and attributes;
  • simulation settings, seeds, custom events and event packs;
  • game history and interface preferences; and
  • your privacy choice and the date it was saved.

3. Share links and information you enter

When you create a share or challenge link, roster data is encoded in the URL fragment (the part after ā€œ#ā€). Browsers do not send that fragment to our web server or analytics tools, but anyone who receives the link may decode and view it. Do not enter sensitive information, real-world contact details, or private images as tribute data.

4. Consent and necessary storage

Necessary browser storage supports the simulator. We no longer use a consent popup or cookie-settings panel for analytics.

5. Analytics

Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity load on public pages in production to measure aggregate usage and UX signals such as page views, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device information, and interactions with site features. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our configuration.

6. Advertising and third parties

Sponsored Adsterra placements may appear by default in fixed areas on the home page, simulation results, and blog pages. Adsterra and its partners may place or read cookies and use pixels, web beacons, IP addresses, browser details and advertising identifiers to deliver, measure and protect ads. You can hide these placements with the close control on the ad unit; that preference is stored locally on your device. We do not send tribute names, uploaded images, roster data or URL fragments to advertising providers.

7. Storage, sharing and retention

Locally stored simulator data remains on your device until you delete it in the simulator or clear the siteā€™s browser data. The ad-hide preference remains until you clear site data. We do not operate an account database for simulator data. Analytics and advertising providers process data under their own retention and security practices and may act as independent data controllers or processors under applicable law.

8. Your choices

  • Use the close control on a sponsored placement to hide ads site-wide on this device.
  • Clear cookies and site data in your browser to remove locally stored simulator data and the ad-hide preference.
  • Use browser privacy controls or provider opt-out controls where available.
  • Contact us to ask a privacy question or report data that should not appear on the site.

9. Childrenā€™s privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal contact information from them. A child under 13 should not enter personal information or upload identifiable photos. A parent or guardian who believes a child supplied personal information should contact us so we can investigate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the service or its providers change. The date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected here before the related technology is enabled.
